Google Flow alternative: how RelayMe compares

Google Flow is Google’s AI filmmaking tool. It runs Google’s own Veo, Gemini Omni and Nano Banana models on credits that come with Google AI plans. RelayMe is a credit-based node canvas that puts video and image models from several vendors in one workflow. Every Flow fact below comes from Google’s public pages, with a source and check date.

Quick answer

If you only need Google’s models and already pay for Google AI, Flow is cheaper per Veo clip: you get 50 free Flow credits a day, Google AI Pro ($19.99 a month) adds 1,000 a month, and one Veo 3.1 Fast generation costs 20 (checked 2026-10-04). RelayMe fits three other cases: you need models outside Google (Grok Imagine, MiniMax-H3 and GPT Image 2); you want image and video steps chained into a repeatable workflow or called over an HTTP API; or you want to pay as you go without a subscription. On RelayMe an 8-second Veo 3.1 Fast clip with audio is 1,200 credits (about US$1.20).

What carries over and what does not

Carries over

  • Prompts and reference images: connect them to Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast or Nano Banana nodes.
  • First-frame image-to-video: RelayMe’s Veo nodes accept a first frame.
  • Videos and images you have downloaded can be inputs to a new workflow.

Does not carry over

  • Flow projects and scenes cannot be imported; rebuild them on the RelayMe canvas.
  • Flow credits and AI credits from a Google AI plan do not transfer to RelayMe.
  • Veo 3.1 Lite, Veo 3.1 Quality and Gemini Omni: RelayMe does not offer these models.
  • Extend and conversational video editing with Omni have no equivalent on RelayMe.

When Google Flow is the better choice

  • You already pay for Google AI and only need Veo and Nano Banana: credits per clip are lower, plus 50 free credits a day.
  • You need Veo 3.1 Lite, Veo 3.1 Quality or Gemini Omni, or want to extend clips and edit them conversationally.
  • You are on a qualifying Google Workspace plan that includes Flow at no extra charge.
  • You want models, storage and Gemini bundled in one subscription.

RelayMe’s limits, stated plainly

  • Only 4 video models: Grok Imagine, MiniMax-H3, Veo 3.1 Fast and Veo 3.1. Models outside this list are not available.
  • No custom code node, and no way to install custom nodes or plug-ins.
  • Workflow files from other tools cannot be imported; you rebuild the graph on the RelayMe canvas.
  • No MCP server and no Claude or ChatGPT connector; agents connect through the HTTP API and downloadable Agent Skills.

Try the same brief on RelayMe

Cut one Flow scene down to a small chain — product photo → Nano Banana node → Veo 3.1 Fast node — and connect the same prompt to a Grok Imagine or MiniMax-H3 node for comparison. Task history records the credits each step actually used.

Registration does not need a credit card; any introductory credits and their validity are shown at sign-up.
